We want to give you all a quick heads up that there is some maintenance taking place this weekend on Yahoo!7 Mail, that may impact some of you. The maintenance is part of our ongoing efforts to give you the best Mail service we can.
Beginning the afternoon of Saturday March 14th (AEST) you may experience problems accessing your Yahoo!7 Mail account. If your account is affected, it should be available again by the morning on Sunday March 15th (AEST).

A large number of you would no doubt have received an email in the last day or so, entitled “Yahoo!7 Briefcase Is Closing – Action Required”.

A number of people appear to have concerns, and so we wish to reassure you that this is only for Yahoo! Briefcase, and will have no effect on your Yahoo!7 Mail or any other Yahoo!7 products or services.
You have until March 30th, 2009 to download any files you may have on Briefcase. You can download them all at once or individually, and it is important to note they will no longer be accessible after that date. If you have any questions about the closure, be sure to read the help files that were setup specifically for this or feel free to contact Yahoo!7 Customer Care.
So in short, Briefcase has nothing to do with your email account and nothing will change except that Briefcase itself will be closing, your email and other Yahoo!7 services are safe
